So far, submissions into the festival have been closed! And we’ve picked the winner for our Logo competition and they shall be contacted shortly! Thank you to all who have submitted both into the festival and into the Logo contest. We appreciate all the hard work you guys put into all your submissions.
Also this month, we hosted some pre-screenings for a bunch of the films that have been submitted. We may have more, but we’re still working on that, so keep checking back for more information on that.
And last, but not least, on Wednesday, Nov 16 at 5 PM in the Faner Hall Auditorium in celebration of Native American History Month we are presenting a film in cahoots with the Hispanic/Latino resource Center. It is called “Crying Earth Rise Up” and it is a documentary from our stable of past festivals. It centers on social justice, but it is more so environmental-centric and very relevant to today as it relates to land and water protection. This film was one of our John Michaels Candidates and was even a runner-up for the award.
We have a lot more events coming up within the next coming months before the Festival so keep your eye out on the website for more! And even check out our Facebook to get live updates as they come!
